Five Tar Heels among Perfect Game’s list of top freshman baseball players

UNC has five players on Perfect Game’s list of the top 500 freshman baseball players, with three in the top 100 and three ranked as the top players at their positions in their state. Shortstop Lee Sowers of Glen Allen, Va., leads the way at No. 81, the No. 2 shortstop in Virginia. Perry Hargett of Peachland, N.C., is the top shortstop in North Carolina. (Tar Heel Tribune)
