6. Jason DeCaro, RHP, UNC. DeCaro was thrust into the Friday night starter’s role as a 17-year-old freshman after teammates Jake Knapp and Folger Boaz suffered season-ending injuries. And he rose to the occasion by compiling a 6-1 record in a team-leading 18 starts to go along with a 3.81 ERA and 78 strikeouts. He has 4 pitches he can throw for strikes. (Saturday Down South)
