UNC loses pitcher Matthew Matthijs, key piece of bullpen, for remainder of season due to injury

ended 2024 with a UNC-best 12 victories, but his 2025 start wasn't as efficient, with just a 1-1 record and 4.34 earned run average in 17 relief appearances. Unfortunately for UNC, he won't play anymore baseball this year. On Monday, head coach announced Matthijs will miss the remainder of 2025 with an arm injury. (Tar Heels Wire)
