Behind a strong start by Jake Knapp and timely hitting, UNC took game one, 8-1, against NC State. UNC racked up 12 hits to complement Knapp's 8.0 innings in their victory, pushing their record to 37-10 and conference record to 16-9. The Tar Heels have been rolling, going 16-3 over their last 19 games with five straight W's in the record book.
