Coach Scott Forbes leaned over and fist-bumped the North Carolina player immediately to his right. It was his third baseman, Gavin Gallaher, who had back-to-back homers in the Tar Heels' 14-4 trouncing of Oklahoma, ensuring their advancement to the super regionals. Gallaher had just completed the most productive weekend of his college baseball life.
