Tar Heels swat season-high four homers to win slugfest at UNCW
Posted May 13, 2026
The home run derby was a draw, but No. 2 UNC Baseball prevailed in the game. Carolina hit a season-high four home runs to knock off UNCW 13-7 on Tuesday in Wilmington despite four Seahawks home runs (Highlights, Box Score). UNC wanted to rest its best bullpen arms for the N.C. State series that starts Thursday, so the big run output was needed.
