UNC freshman pitcher grew up on the Jersey Shore, 10 minutes from the beach. Most nights, he could be found throwing with his dad, Keith, who was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals, spent seven years in the minors, and threw 15 big league innings for the Reds, on the street.
