Folger Boaz named Wednesday's staring pitcher with UNC Baseball one win from CWS Finals
Posted Jun 16, 2026
Folger Boaz, who was UNC Baseball's No. 3 starter most of the season, will start for the Tar Heels on Wednesday at the College World Series. It’s a decision Coach Scott Forbes said fits the moment and the larger path UNC believes can carry it through the rest of the week. Boaz last pitched in UNC's 9-3 win over ECU that clinched the Chapel Hill Regional.
