College World Series bracket set: UNC, UVA represent ACC
Posted Jun 14, 2011
The College World Series bracket is finally set, with two teams representing the ACC in Omaha. Virginia joined North Carolina among the final eight on Monday — by the slimmest of margins – with a come-from-behind 3-2 victory in the bottom of the ninth against UC-Irvine. Florida State missed giving the league a hat trick of teams by coming up small in an 11-2 loss to Texas A&M.
