Tar Heels eliminate Longhorns
Posted Jun 20, 2011
UNC's offense was slightly more efficient than it had been in Saturday's College World Series opener, and that was more than enough for freshman left-hander Kent Emanuel. Jacob Stallings drove in two runs with a third-inning single, Ben Bunting capped a four-hit game with an RBI double and Emanuel made it stand up with a four-hit shutout for the Tar Heels in a 3-0 victory Monday over Texas.
