Elon names former Tar Heels star Charlotte Smith as new women's coach


, perhaps the most recognizable player in the history of the North Carolina’s women’s basketball team, has been hired as the new coach at Elon University. She will be introduced in an official capacity as the school’s sixth women’s basketball coach during a news conference Wednesday afternoon on campus at Alumni Field House. (Burlington Times News)
