Chay Shegog finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 20 North Carolina past Carson-Newman, 91-43, Wednesday night in an exhibition contest at Carmichael Arena. Carolina held the Division II Eagles to just 2-of-29 shooting after halftime to turn a close game into a rout. The Tar Heels struggled from the field in the opening 20 minutes and led by just four points at the break.
