Tar Heels 8th In Final Directors' Cup Standings

Led by the men's soccer national championship and field hockey's second consecutive national runner-up finish, UNC placed eighth in the final Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings for 2011-12. This is Carolina's fourth consecutive Top 10 finish, its 10th Top 10 in the last 11years and its 16th Top 10 showing in the 19-year history of the all-sports competition.
