Sylvia Hatchell, Tar Heels haven’t forgotten about staying home
Posted Oct 18, 2012
The North Carolina women’s basketball team didn’t make the NCAA Tournament this past season for the first time since 2001, but Coach Sylvia Hatchell still went to the 2012 Final Four. She took back a souvenir piece of the wood floor with the logo on it and wrote in black marker: “No NCAA, Don’t Forget.” Hatchell then placed the memento on her desk at Carmichael Arena so she could see it every day.
