Astros’ Alex White placed on 60-day DL

Astros righthander was placed on the 60-day disabled list Saturday. White underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam prior to the Astros’ 6-3 exhibition victory against the Chicago Cubs at Minute Maid Park. White said it feels like all his offseason hard work is “going down the drain.” He was penciled in as an early spring-training starter. (Houston Chronicle)
