Colin Moran has talent and pedigree to be among top MLB Draft picks


His uncle was a No. 1 overall draft pick and his brother was an All-American. So it’s easy to see and Brian Moran’s accomplishments at North Carolina and assume that Tar Heel junior was fated to be one of the first players selected in today’s MLB First-Year Player Draft (7 p.m., MLB Network). Sure enough, Moran is listed as the sixth-best prospect by MLB.com. (Durham Herald-Sun)
