Colin Moran signs with Miami Marlins

The Miami Marlins on Thursday agreed to terms with Colin Moran, the sixth overall pick in the June amateur draft and a standout third baseman at the University of North Carolina. Moran had been offered the slot value for that pick: $3.52 million. He helped lead the Tar Heels to the College World Series by hitting .348 and driving in 86 runs. The deal is complete pending a physical.
