Carolina Women Dominate Illinois At Cancun Challenge

Freshman Stephanie Mavunga had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 11 North Carolina to an 87-51 win over Illinois at the Cancun Challenge on Saturday. Classmates Diamond DeShields and Allisha Gray added 18 points and eight rebounds, and 15 points and nine rebounds, respectively. Mavunga's dominance around the basket allowed Carolina to score 50 points in the paint.
