Diamond DeShields Earns ACC Rookie Of The Week Honors

Diamond DeShields of the North Carolina women's basketball team was selected ACC Rookie of the Week on Monday, as announced by the conference office. DeShields averaged 23.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 steals last week over three games at the Cancun Challenge, helping lead the Tar Heels to a 2-1 record. UNC has won the award three-consecutive weeks by three different players.
