DeShields Scores 38 In 89-82 Win At NC State

Freshman Diamond DeShields scored 27 of her season-high 38 points after halftime to help No. 17 North Carolina beat No. 10 North Carolina State 89-82 on Sunday. Fellow rookie Allisha Gray scored 15 of her 18 points after halftime in her own big performance for the Tar Heels (20-6, 8-4 ACC), who beat a top-10 opponent on the road for the second time this week.
