Tar Heels again rally on USC’s suspect bullpen


North Carolina moved on to face another SEC school, Mississippi State, in the first round of the College World Series this weekend. South Carolina can take stock after a season in which the Gamecocks began the year ranked in the top five and reached No. 1 at one point. The Gamecocks never quite stayed in that elite category, and although they earned a No. 1 seed and breezed through their regional, they ultimately couldn’t get past a powerful ACC school and national seed.
