UNC Women Upended By Hokies, 50-47
Posted Feb 23, 2014
No. 11/8 North Carolina was upended 50-47 by Virginia Tech on Sunday at Carmichael Arena. UNC had a chance to send the game into overtime in the waning seconds, but Diamond DeShields' three pointer rolled off the rim to cap a tough shooting night for the Tar Heels. UNC shot just 26.8 percent for the game, a season low, and was held under 65 points for the first time all year.
