Diamond DeShields Named ACC Rookie of the Year

North Carolina guard Diamond DeShields was named ACC Rookie of the Year, ACC Commissioner John Swofford announced Wednesday. DeShields is the eighth Tar Heel to win the award and combines with teammate Xylina McDaniel in giving Carolina the last two award winners. DeShields set Carolina's freshman single-game and single-season scoring records during the 2013-14 season.
