UNC Coach Sylvia Hatchell: "Cancer Is Gone"
Posted Apr 29, 2014
In mid-October, Sylvia Hatchell announced that she was diagnosed with leukemia and was temporarily stepping down. Since then, Hatchell has been through chemotherapy and now her illness is in remission. "I'm great and it's over. I just got to keep working hard and get my strength built back up," said Hatchell. Hatchell said she relied on her faith and mental strength to fight the disease.
