Hovis, Daly having strong seasons, eager to help UNC defend ACC baseball title

A pair of former Forestview High standouts are making a major impact as sophomores for the UNC baseball team this season. And this week pitcher Reilly Hovis and outfielder Zach Daly will seek to repeat as ACC champions when the tournament begins at Greensboro’s NewBridge Bank Park. For Hovis, Daly and the Tar Heels that starts with Tuesday’s 11 a.m. play-in game against N.C. State.
