Ivory Latta Selected 11th by Detroit Shock in WNBA Draft

The Detroit Shock decided to keep their draft pick after all, grabbing North Carolina guard at No. 11 Wednesday in the first round of the WNBA draft. Coach Bill Laimbeer said last week the team might trade the pick, but changed his mind when Latta still was on the board. He expected her to be a top-five pick. "She was by far the best player on the board at No. 11," Laimbeer said. (Detroit News)
