UNC commitment Stephanie Watts sets N.C. high school record in playoff win
Posted Feb 26, 2015
On a day when most of the state’s prep basketball teams postponed playoff games due to a monster snowstorm coming in, Weddington’s Stephanie Watts made some history. In a 68-42 win over North Iredell in the first round of the N.C. 3A girls playoffs, Watts had 28 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and five steals. She also made her 127th 3-point shot, which set a new N.C. High School Athletic Association single-season record.
