Stephanie Watts Named N.C. Gatorade Player Of The Year

UNC incoming freshman Stephanie Watts has been named the 2015 North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year. Watts, from Wesley Chapel, North Carolina, led Weddington (Matthews) HS to the Class 3A regional finals and a 29-2 record this past season. She averaged 29.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 4.7 steals and 2.4 blocks per game. The 5-10 guard has been selected for the McDonald’s All-American Game and Jordan Brand Classic.
