Hunter Williams and four relievers combined for a three-hit shutout and No. 18 North Carolina thumped visiting Appalachian State 9-0 Tuesday at Boshamer Stadium. Skye Bolt hit his fourth home run of the year and Korey Dunbar continued his hot hitting with two hits, including his team-leading seventh double. UNC will host Miami in a three-game series starting Friday at 6:30 p.m.
