No. 18 Tar Heels Drop Baseball Opener To Clemson, 5-2

Clemson scored five times in the first three innings and Matthew Crownover allowed just two unearned runs in seven frames as No. 18 North Carolina fell to the host Tigers 5-2 Friday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Reed Rohlman, Chris Okey and Chase Pinder had RBI doubles for Clemson, which improved to 15-14 and 6-7 in ACC play. Landon Lassiter had three hits for the Tar Heels.
