Astros release former first round pitcher Alex White

The Houston Astros released former first-round pick Alex White, who was with the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies, on Monday, according to the Fresno Bee. White was a highly-regarded prospect but injuries have impacted his career. He has a career ERA of 6.03 ERA across 149 1/3 major league innings. (CBS Sports)
