Lady Devils prove who’s No. 1, sweep Tar Heels

The No. 4 Lady Tar Heels (27-3, 11-3 ACC) made for Duke’s 10th conquest of a ranked opponent this season. Afterward, Carolina coach Sylvia Hatchell gave a surprising nod to a rival player, saying Lindsey Harding (15 points, eight rebounds) would be her choice as the ACC’s player of the year, not the reigning Ivory Latta. “They’re definitely better than anybody expected,” Hatchell said.
