Sylvia Hatchell—two years removed from a near-death experience with leukemia—addressed members of the Raleigh Sports Club Wednesday. The active winningest coach in NCAA women’s basketball history—second only to former Tennessee head coach Pat Summit—said she visited the doctor on Tuesday and passed an examination with “off-the-chart” numbers.
