Stephanie Watts Named ACC Freshman Of The Year

UNC guard Stephanie Watts has been voted ACC Freshman of the Year, announced Wednesday. Watts is the ninth Tar Heel to win the award, and the third in the last four seasons. A native of Wesley Chapel, N.C., Watts earned second team All-ACC and All-Freshman team honors on Tuesday. She leads UNC in scoring and ranks 10th in the league at 14.5 points per game.
