Latta sinks clincher against Huskies
Posted Jan 16, 2007
Even on her worst nights, Ivory Latta still holds the dagger. Her 3-pointer with 1:01 left proved to be a lethal weapon. It killed all of No. 6 Connecticut's momentum, allowing Latta's North Carolina teammates to take control and eventually post a 82-76 women's basketball win. Carolina's victory came on the day that the team learned it had not ascended to No. 1 upon Maryland's 81-62 loss at Duke on Saturday.
