Daniel Bard released by Pittsburgh Pirates, per report

The Pittsburgh Pirates have released former Boston Red Sox reliever Daniel Bard, Peter Gammons reported on Twitter. Bard signed a minor league contract with Pittsburgh in January. The 30-year-old, who has experienced control issues since 2012, hasn't pitched in a regular season major league game since 2013.
