The year after she won her 900th game, UNC basketball coach Sylvia Hatchell decided to take a tour of her past The first place she went was to Tennessee. “I went to see Pat,” she said. “I owe her everything.” Pat Summitt, the legendary Uennessee coach who died this morning, was a mentor to many coaches. But to Hatchell, “We were friends,” Hatchell said.
