UNC beats Lady Vols in sloppy affair
Posted Dec 4, 2006
With North Carolina looking discombobulated early in the second half, Erlana Larkins made a layup while being fouled by Tennessee's Nikki Anosike. While the sold-out Carmichael Auditorium crowd roared its approval, the junior forward turned to her teammates and screamed: "GIVE ME THE BALL!" The No. 2 Tar Heels heeded Larkins' emphatic advice frequently enough to allow them to pull away for a 70-57 victory over the No. 4 Lady Vols on Sunday night.
