UNC Baseball Knocked Out of NCAA Tournament

A play at the plate in the ninth inning went Davidson’s way, and as a result, the Wildcats upset No. 2 national seed UNC, 2-1, on Sunday. With Brandon Riley representing the tying run at second base, Zach Gahagan singled to right field to set up the dramatic events at home plate. Riley avoided catcher Jake Sidwell’s initial tag, but in doing so, failed to tag the plate on his first pass. (Inside Carolina)
