UNC women's basketball drops season opener to Hampton, 70-66

North Carolina was tripped up in its season opener, 70-66, to Hampton on Friday afternoon inside Carmichael Arena. Paris Kea led North Carolina (0-1) with 24 points, six assists and six steals. Freshman Jocelyn Jones added 14 points off the bench, classmate Janelle Bailey had 12 points and Jamie Cherry kicked off her senior campaign with 10 points.
