1,000 wins may be ‘meaningless’ to UNC’s Hatchell — but colleagues shower praise

On Tuesday night, while most eyes will watch the Connecticut Huskies' Geno Auriemma go for 1,000 wins, there will be another coach who is also on the verge of the same milestone: UNC's Sylvia Hatchell. Hatchell, who has patrolled the Tar Heel sidelines for 32 seasons, has made quite an impression among her peers for her resilience and coaching skill.
