UNC run deserves applause

The bus carrying the North Carolina baseball team pulled up in front of Boshamer Stadium, where a crowd of 450 greeted the squad with balloons and applause. The players pulled their gear from the bus' storage area and looked at the crowd with bewilderment. Their expressions seemed to ask, "Don't they know we lost?" Yes, they knew, but this reception was for a group that won more games than any baseball team in UNC history. It was for a team that was among the last two standing in a 64-team field.
