Dramatic shot stirred Charlotte Smith’s memory

Perhaps the most dramatic women’s Final Four in history had Notre Dame celebrating. And Elon coach Charlotte Smith running around, too. That’s because as soon as Notre Dame’s Arike Ogunbowale sank the game-winning 3-point basket Smith drew an immediate parallel. Smith’s 3-point buzzer basket gave North Carolina the 1994 championship for the Tar Heels.
