Heartbreak in Omaha as UNC is eliminated by Oregon State

North Carolina held Oregon State’s potent offense in check for seven innings before the Beavers exploded for seven runs in the final two frames to secure a 11-6 victory and eliminate the Tar Heels from the College World Series. UNC snapped a streak of 50 consecutive victories when scoring six or more runs. The Tar Heels were 37-0 when leading after seven innings.
