Colin Moran’s story hasn’t been one of going zero-to-60. But it has had extreme elements. His manager, Clint Hurdle, addressing the media before the Pirates took batting practice, was speaking in general terms when he said, “Sometimes the game just throws things at you to see how you handle them.” A lot has been thrown Moran’s way in a short time.
