Brewers do not work out deal for Reds right-hander Matt Harvey after making waiver claim

The Milwaukee Brewers had a chance to acquire Cincinnati Reds right-hander Matt Harvey on Friday after making a waiver claim but did not work out a deal, for whatever reasons. Multiple sources, including Jon Heyman of fancred.com and the MLB Network, reported that the Brewers were awarded a waiver claim on Harvey and had until 12:30 p.m. to work out a deal.
