At ACC spring meetings, there will be the usual work – and a feeling of dysfunction

ACC administrators, coaches and other school and conference officials will gather again this week for the latest iteration of the league’s spring meetings. The early-to-mid May date is the same as always. The venue, at the oceanside Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, outside of Jacksonville, FL, is the same as always. As for the vibe? USGA opens new headquarters in Pinehurst, showcasing historic golf artifacts

The US Golf Association held its grand opening Friday for its new headquarters in Pinehurst. The new building at 3 Carolina Vista Drive in Pinehurst includes the World Golf Hall of Fame. Starting May 15, the exhibit will be free and open to the public. The new facility is full of historic artifacts, including a signed outfit worn by Payne Stewart at the 1999 U.S. Open. If they don't go pro, elite basketball recruits are more likely to transfer than stay put

The exodus of once-ballyhooed freshmen was a major undertone of college basketball's 2024 transfer portal cycle. Forty-eight of the top 61 recruits from the Class of 2023 are expected to return to the college ranks next season. Over half (25 of the 48) are in the transfer portal. Caleb Love among 44 players invited to G League Elite Camp

Former UNC and Arizona guard will join five other former ACC basketball players in the G League Elite Camp next weekend. The 44-player camp, which is set for Chicago next Saturday and Sunday, will include Pittsburgh’s Blake Hinson, Florida State’s Baba Miller, Syracuse’s Judah Mintz, Georgia Tech’s Baye Ndongo, and Miami’s Wooga Poplar. South Carolina court orders ACC to provide Clemson with ESPN agreements

A South Carolina court has ordered the Atlantic Coast Conference to turn over documents about its agreements with ESPN that Clemson has requested in its lawsuit against the conference. The interim confidentiality order was released on Friday. It said the ACC has seven days to produce unredacted documents about its TV deal with ESPN to Clemson. (Associated Press)
