Is this North Carolina defense for real? Saturday’s game was a huge step in the right direction. Between holding California to 23 percent on third down conversions and only giving up one play over 20 yards, that was a defense that was able to get off the field despite an offense frequently putting it in bad spots. UNC also was able to bring more pressure with its front four.
