Charlie Scott was an NBA pioneer and part of Celtics championship team

Charlie Scott, who is being inducted alongside more contemporary honorees, was a member of the 1976 Celtics team. Boston defeated the Phoenix Suns (for whom Scott played for the season prior to coming to Boston) in six games behind the MVP play of JoJo White. Scott was instrumental to the ’76 Finals victory, averaging 14.5 points and six rebounds per game.
