After being linked to head coaching opportunities with the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors, it was somewhat of a surprise when Jerry Stackhouse joined the Memphis Grizzlies staff as an assistant coach. But Stackhouse says that once the doors closed to him in New York and Toronto, he didn’t hesitate to accept an offer when Memphis coach J.B. Bickerstaff reached out.
